FAQ - BALLFINDER SCOUT™ Will the Ballfinder Scout™ find any golf balls? The Ballfinder Scout™ will only locate white golf balls. It will however locate any white golf ball - not necessarily just your own. Accordingly we recommend that you add a distinctive mark to your ball to ensure that you play the correct ball. Any other lost balls you come across you can simply collect for a later round. Does the Ballfinder Scout™ work indoors? The Ballfinder Scout has been designed to work in natural lighting conditions and therefore does not perform well in artificial lighting conditions. Accordingly, make sure that you always use the Ballfinder Scout™ outdoors.
Will the Ballfinder Scout find my golf ball underwater? No. The Scout has to be able to "see" at least 1% of the ball, so if it is completely immersed in water the Scout will not be able to identify it. Sometimes my Ballfinder Scout™ vibrates but does not seem to locate a golf ball. Why is this? The Ballfinder Scout™ can on occasion produce a miss-hit. This is characterised by a short vibro-buzz and a bracket lock-on failure on the LCD screen. In most cases a miss-hit is the result of the unit incorrectly identifying a golf ball. The short vibro-buzz associated with a miss-hit is quite distinct from the long vibro-buzz that is produced when a genuine golf ball is correctly identified and users will swiftly learn to distinguish between the two. What's the best way to scan with the Ballfinder Scout™? The best way to locate your golf ball with the Ballfinder Scout™ is to scan slowly from the ground by your feet upwards towards the horizon and then down again, moving from left to right on the downward arc (in effect a zip-zag motion). This method ensures the optimum area is scanned. Remember not to move the Ballfinder Scout™ too fast as successful golf ball location can take a few seconds to register if your golf ball is obscured by a great deal of rough.
FAQ - SURESHOT GPS I cannot turn on my Sureshot GPS Before you start using your Sureshot you must fully charge the internal lithium ion battery.
